SLIDING SCALE
PROGRAM FEE

PILLAR
$222
FOUNDATION
$333
PAY IT FORWARD
$444
The Pillar price is for those who struggle to meet basic needs. Paying for this retreat would be a significant hardship.
The Foundation price is for those who are able to meet their basic needs but have little-to-no expendable income. Paying for this retreat may qualify as a sacrifice but it would not create hardship.
The Pay-It-Forward price is a few bucks above the actual cost of the retreat. The extra money goes toward supporting scholarships as well as future free and low-cost retreats. This is an opportunity to not only experience this retreat, but also support your fellow community members.
The price for your retreat is based on a sliding scale system.  We hope to make this retreat as financially accessible to as many people as possible. With this in mind we carefully crafted a sliding scale pricing system that allows us to keep the individual expense for the retreat low while allowing for Pay-It-Forward supporters to help subsidize the attendance of the Pillar supporters, and allow the retreat creators to be compensated for their work. Our pricing system was inspired by the work of Alexis J. Cunningfolk. Some text was taken directly from her blog with her consent. Learn more about Alexis's system, The Green Bottle Method, and help determine which price option best suits you. Please be mindful that if you purchase a price at the lowest end of the scale when you can truthfully afford the higher ticket prices, you are limiting access to those who truly need the gift of financial flexibility. Being honest with yourself and your financial situation when engaging with sliding scale practices grows strong and sustainable communities. It also respects the work of teachers and creators, like Ella, Becky & Angie, who have families to support and rent to pay. Additionally, when we are paid fairly, we are able to invest more time and resources to free and lower cost offerings.

COLLABORATION
Greetings! This is Angie, the founder of Moon In Scorpio, and one of the co-hosts for this retreat. I started my yoga journey in 2016 and, nearly 10 years in, I am so excited to offer another retreat opportunity. In the past decade I have learned so much about yoga. I am so grateful that this craft has allowed me to build relationships with co-collaborators and wonderfully interesting people. I would not be on this retreat journey if I had not been reintroduced to Ella Floyd. She was a good friend to my sister, Becky, in high school. When I ventured to The Center in 2021 I was pleasantly surprised to learn that she taught yoga there. I started to take her classes and eventually she approached me with the idea of hosting a retreat. The idea of planning a retreat intimidated and excited me. We started to brainstorm and hosted our first Grounding Retreat in the fall of 2023. The retreat was a great learning opportunity for us. We learned the importance of taking time to honor the self and that we do have the skills to host a successful retreat. After our first experience we decided to make our retreat collaboration an annual event. Becky helped us greatly during our first retreat experience. Since then she has become a great asset to our retreat planning team. When I started going to Ella’s classes I encouraged Becky to join me and the two of them rekindled their friendship. I also pushed Becky into taking a 200hr Teacher Training with me. The training was a great opportunity for us to grow our sisterly relationship and for Becky to discover her talent for teaching yoga. The Ritual Retreat this fall will be our third retreat offering. Since our first experience we learned so much about ourselves, strengths and challenges. Each of us continues to nourish our passion for yoga. Ella is now an ANFT Certified Nature & Forest Therapy Guide. This certification is a great asset to our retreat offerings and was my favorite part of the Rest Retreat last year. Becky grows her love of yoga through teaching classes in Fond du Lac. She is now a Certified Reiki Practitioner and has a great gift for guided meditations. You can look forward to her guided moon meditation this year. I continue to work towards my RYT-500 certification. I recently completed courses through Yoga Medicine on Resilience & Burnout, Yoga Nidra, and Yoga & Politics. I am looking forward to integrating some of the skills I’ve learned into this year’s Ritual Retreat. We thank you for your interest in our retreat and hope to get to know you this fall!
